Policies may change or be added at the discretion of the airline. Check for updates before finalising your options.

For all passengers booked to travel from 22nd FEB – 30th APR

Refundable Tickets
  • Refund on fully unutilized tickets
    • Refund without deducting any refund penalty charges (Refund can be processed through BSP- link) Tour RH/20-015 mandatory
  • Refund on Partially utilized tickets
    • Refund permitted on unused Component of any tickets,
    • If a sector of a component is unused refund will not be processed, however unused coupons may be flown maximum by 31st December 20.
  • Reissue
    • Re-issue permitted without charging reissue penalty charges, Any difference in fare, Taxes, Surcharges must be collected.
    • Tour RH/20-O15 mandatory to re-issue the tickets.
Non-Refundable Tickets
  • Fully or partially un-utilized tickets
    • Non-refundable Tickets(local sales)- Booked to travel from 12th March 20 to 26th March 20(Canceled flights) are herewith refundable without deducting any refund penalty charges.
    • Date Change/Reissue permitted without any penalty charges. All travel must be completed by 31st December 20. Any difference in fare, Taxes, Surcharges must be collected. applicable if tickets are presented after December 20)
    • Tour Code RH/20-015 mandatory to Re-issue/Refund the tickets.(Reissue is applicable only on KU operated flights)
  • Customers flying internationally will be offered an alternative flight via another capital city or a partner airline, or an alternative day
  • We are also offering our customers flexibility when they book. And have today introduced a one-time fee-free change to international flight bookings made from today (10MAR) until the end of March – so that our customers can book with confidence. This applies for travel commencing prior to 30 June 2020.

Please be informed as per relevant authorities and local government agencies, Sri Lankan passport holders are not allowed to enter below countries.

  • DOHA
Refund(Valid for all Tickets issued until 10 MAR & Travel 31 MAR 20)
  • A full refund provided for the guest booked to and from IKA, CAN & MXP
  • For all other routes and point of sale, normal ticket conditions to be followed.
DATE CHANGE: (Valid for all tickets issued until 31 May & Travel until 31 OCT 20)
  • Two free date change allowed with in the ticket validity to all online destinations, Codeshare destinations and Domestic destinations for all documents issued on 910.
  • Any additional collection other than Fare & Taxes will be waived.

Due to the rapid spread of COVID-19, Malaysia Airlines wishes to provide Ultimate flexibility ticket change policy to our passengers who may wish to make new bookings or have done so prior, we are offering the following flexibility option globally across ALL POS:

  • Unlimited Date Change (Waiver of Date change Fee)
  • Flexibility of destination Change (Re-routing however Fare difference applies)
  • Flexibility in Go Show for earlier flights on the same day of departure (same sector) for travel period 13th March 2020 – 21st May 2020

Effective immediately passengers holding Malaysia Airlines (232) tickets that involve confirmed travel from / to any MH online point with or without connections, will have the option to take advantage of the following waivers. The following Travel and Ticket criteria as below for Unlimited Date Change waiver & Flexibility of destination change:

  • Applies to 232 tickets issued on and before – 31March, 2020
  • Any rebooked travel must be made on/before 31May 2020
  • Any rebooked travel date must be completed by 31Dec 2020
  • Applies to tickets issued with confirmed reservation on MH 232 stock
  • Customer will need to contact MH Call Centre or MH Ticketing Office or MH Appointed Agents for the above arrangement
Re-booking Options
  • Unlimited free changes will be permitted within the original ticket validity. However, revised travel date must be rebooked and completed as per criteria listed above and subject to flight availability of original O&D. Deferred travel/new travel date must be booked in the original ticketed / booked RBD. Rebooking in an alternative RBD will result in the ticketed fare being re-assessed and any additional fare amount being collected. NOSH fees will not be waived
  • Flexibility to change / reroute to alternative O&D waiving change and service fee – new routing must be on MH operated services only. If the new routing results in a higher fare this will necessitate the difference in fare to be collected. Any unutilized balance will be forfeited, and MH will not refund the balance. NOSH fees will not be waived
  • No charge for GOSH. Go Show allowed for earlier flights on the same day of departure (same sector). This option will be permitted in all RBDs for departure effective 13th March 2020 to 21st May 2020.

Ticket issued on or before 25 Jan 2020 to travel between 18 Jan 2020 – 30 April 2020.


Routing related to China –Point of Sale – Worldwide

  • UL tickets are eligible for cancellation/refund on involuntary basis
  • Irrespective of Cabin/journey type (RT/OW)/ fare type (includes P9 promo restricted)/sales channel /point of sale.
  • Through Sri Lankan revenue tickets involving China in the routing.

Ticket issued on or before 31 March 2020, ticketed to travel - any date.


Routing - Any online/code share/interline & Point of Sale –Worldwide

  • UL tickets are eligible for 1 free change without penalty fee
  • Irrespective of Cabin/journey type (RT/OW)/ fare type (includes P9 promo restricted)/ sales channel /point of sale

Origin/ fully unutilized or partially utilized

  • Through Sri Lankan revenue tickets

In lieu of ongoing Coronavirus outbreak, SpiceJet is providing change fees waiver on existing bookings for travel from 12th March'20 - 31st March 20.

The airline also announced change fees waiver on fresh bookings made & travel between 12th March - 31st March'20. (T&C's apply")

  • Fare difference will be applicable
  • An advance notice of 3 days is required to reschedule the booking.
  • This is only applicable for Rescheduling, NO Waiver on Cancellations fee.
  • This is not applicable for group bookings

IndiGo won't be charging any change fees

  • On existing bookings for travel between 12th and 31 March, 2020
  • For new bookings between 12th and 31st March, 2020
  • So, go on and make your plans. You can always change them at the last minute.

In line with the government regulation imposed effective today, all passengers from Sri Lanka who's final destination is Doha, Qatar will not be accepted on any QR flight until further notice.

All pssengers with onward connections through Hamad International Airport are accepted for travel.

As we understand that both you and your customers need more flexibility, we have introduced new travel policies applicable for both existing and new customers with travel plans until 30 June 2020 and up to 3 days prior to departure*:

Dear Valued Travel Partner,

We are pleased to announce that travellers can now make unlimited rebooking/rerouting changes without any charge Please find the details listed below

  • Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon tickets originally issued from 9 March to 20 April 2020 (irrespective of fare type except redemption and group tickets)
  • A special code FLEXFLY20" must be inserted in ticket endorsement box of the first reissued ticket and all the subsequent tickets
  • Change must be completed prior to departure.
  • Please note this is not applicable to no shows.
  • Standard cancellation guidelines apply to all fares.
  • The newly rebooked/rerouted travel date/sector must observe and conform to the conditions of the respective fare rule, subject to the applicable fare difference and/or charges, if any.
  • No refund for the fare difference, if any.
  • The new rebooked/rerouted journey must be completed on or before 28 February 2021.
  • For wholly unused ticket, rerouting is allowed by collecting applicable fare/tax difference, if any.
  • Rerouting for partially used ticket is not allowed, please observe the respective fare rule.

Singapore Airlines is waiving all rebooking fees for tickets issued on or before 15 March 2020, for travel up to 31 May 2020, with immediate effect. Customers can cancel their existing flight itineraries, retain the value of their tickets and rebook their travel at a later date, when they are able to firm up their new travel plans. The new flight itinerary should be completed by 31 March 2021.

This new policy will allow customers the flexibility to defer their travel plans and applies to all bookings for travel up to 31 May 2020. All rebooking fees will be waived, although a fare difference may apply for the new itinerary.

SIA will continue to review its waiver policy and retains the flexibility to extend the cut-off date of 31 May 2020 as it assesses the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak on global air travel in the coming weeks. For all new SIA and SilkAir tickets issued from now to 31 March 2020, SIA will also waive change fees.


Customers may contact us through our online form. Customers who booked their tickets directly through Singapore Airlines may also contact their local Singapore Airlines reservations teams. Customers who booked their tickets through travel agencies are advised to contact their agents for assistance.

Due to the high volume of incoming requests, we seek our customers' understanding that it may take longer than usual for our service agents to respond. Customers are encouraged to only contact us if their flight is departing in next 72 hours in order for our agents to focus on and assist those with urgent flight changes.
